Mumbai- Kolkata Vistara flight faces severe turbulence, injuries sustained by 8 passengers

June 7: In a tragic incident, Mumbai- Kolkata Vistara had a narrow escape as the flight faced severe turbulence on Monday. At least eight passengers were hurt and three of them suffered major injuries. These three passengers were admitted to a hospital in Kolkata.

In its report, Vistara said, “Flight No UK775 operating Mumbai-Kolkata faced severe turbulence 15 minutes befor landing, causing injuries to a few passengers. Vistara spokesperson stated that the airline is investigating the incident on priority. “Upon landing, immediate medical assistance was provided to the injured. The critically injured were sent to Charnock Hospital in Kolkata by the AAI ambulance. Others were sent to their destination after giving first aid,” said an official notification from Vistara.
