MPs to do COVID test 72 hours before Monsoon session of Parliament
August 28: Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the monsoon session of the Parliament is expected to start from the second week of September. However, as a precautionary measure, Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha has requested the Members of Parliament (MPs) to get tested for COVID-19 72 hours ahead of the start of the session. The Speaker further stated that arrangements for conducting coronavirus test will also be made in the parliament premises before the start of the monsoon session.
