MoU agreement signed between NETC and Cachar district administration

August 9: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between North East Transmission Company Limited (NETC) and District Administration of Cachar in the chamber of the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Laya Madduri on Thursday. NETC will look after repair works of schools and toilets under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme.

As part of CSR scheme, NETC will look after 5 selected schools of Cachar district. The five schools are-Digor Srikona High School, Chibita Bichia High School, Phulbari Public High School, Tarinipur High School and Ambikacharan High School.

Toilet block, building and repair works, water supply and electricity will be looked after by NETC under this CSR scheme. Besides the presence of representatives of NETC, MLAs Amar Chand Jain and Kishore Nath were also present.

Speaking during the occasion, DC Laya Madduri said that these schools will be transformed into model schools with state of the art infrastructure with water harvesting structures etc. Around Rs. 50 lakh will be spent on the repair works of 5 schools and construction of 3 toilets in 2 schools.
