Mizoram MP who gave open threat to kill Assam Police goes ‘missing’ in Delhi!

July 30: Mizoram Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena went ‘underground’ after making an explosive statement of killing “all Assam Police personnel” on Tuesday. A case was registered on Tuesday at Dholai PS (Case No 236/21) under sections 120(B), 447,336,379, 333,307,302 IPC read with Section 25 (1-A) of Arms Act and Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public property Act 1984 against the killing of Assam Police personnel on 26 July.
A team of Assam Police and CID reached Delhi and issued a notice against Mizoram MP K Venlalvena on Thursday. The police team from Assam also sought assistance from the Delhi Police to locate the ‘missing’ Rajya Sabha MP. As per sources, MP Vanlalvena is neither at his residence nor at Mizoram House in New Delhi at present. He has been summoned by the Assam Police to record statement at the Dholai Police Station in Cachar district of Assam.
K Vanlalvena, Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha, while speaking with News Agency ANI on Tuesday after the border violence said, “More than 200 policemen of Assam Police entered Mizoram’s territory and they pushed back our policemen from our own post. They gave firing order first, before we fire them. They are lucky that we have not killed them all. If they come again, we shall kill them all. Ok.” Very soon, this video clip has became viral in social media. Many news channels are airing this statement full of hatred where he speaks about committing genocide of Assam Police. This incident was taken very seriously by Assam Police.

Following this, GP Singh, Special DGP of Assam Police in a series of tweets informed that a team of Assam Police including officers of CID are leaving for Delhi to take lawful action relating to the conspiracy behind the incident in light of media interview of Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena indicative of his active role in conspiracy.

Assam Police further announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to arrest of each of the individuals involved in the barbaric killing of the Assam Police personnel on July 26, 2021. The incident took place at Inner Line Reserve Forest area of Cachar district, Assam along National Highway 306, around 1.7 Kms southwards from Lailapur Police Station in which 6 policemen died till now, while around 40 more policemen sustained bullet injuries including the Superintendent of Police of Cachar.
