Microsoft to collaborate with Assam Govt to startup ecosystem

February 4: A team from Microsoft led by Lathika S Pai, country head, Micosoft for Startups, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and SAARC and Jeeva Reddy, director, Global Entrepreneurship Network, (GEN) Women India approached the Assam Industries and Commerce Department.

The Microsoft team interacted with Commissioner Dr K K Dwivedi and Secretary Manjula Saikia at Janata Bhawan and expressed the desire to actively collaborate with Assam Government to support the startup ecosystem in Assam in the month of April.

Microsoft  submitted a proposal that it would facilitate its know how on advanced technological system, cloud computing and artificial intelligence to the startup incubates for national and international exposure. Dr K K Dwivedi, Govt. of Assam gave positive assurance to Microsoft and stated that such venture would be highly beneficial in creating employment and entrepreneurship among the youths of Assam.
