Member of Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights to visit Cachar
He will visit the house of 5-day old baby boy kidnapped and later killed by miscreants
August 12: Member of Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR), Ajay Kumar Dutta will visit Silchar on Thursday. Dutta will visit Kajidahar in Sonai where a five-day old baby boy was kidnapped and later killed by miscreants earlier this month. The police have managed to arrest the perpetrator of the crime and two others in this connection. Sources in the administration informed that Dutta will visit the village and meet the bereaved family members.
Dutta is also scheduled to meet DIG, Southern Range, Dilip Kumar Dey, Superintendent of Police, Bhanwar Lal Meena, and Additional SP during his visit to Silchar. The ASCPCR member will also hold a meeting with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Social Welfare, DSWO and DCPO at the Circuit House. District Child Protection Officer, Cachar, Mrinal Kanti Saikia has been deputed as protocol officer to the member of ASCPCR.
