Megha Nidhi Dahal, IAS, new DC of Hailakandi

May 8: Megha Nidhi Dahal, Staff Officer to Chief Secretary, Assam, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi. In an order issued to this effect by Personnel (A) Department, Government of Assam on Friday, Dahal will take over as Deputy Commissioner Hailakandi from Keerthi Jalli, IAS, who has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Cachar.

Born on May 7, 1987, Dahal, a 2015 batch IAS Officer, did his Bachelor in Engineering (Information Science and Engineering) and is a resident of remote Lingmoo Busty, about 30 km from Singtam of the State of Sikkim. Jalli, who was also the State Officer to Chief Secretary, Assam joined as Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi on January 21 last year.
