Medical Sales Peoples’ Puja theme this year is Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in tri-colour ambience
way2barak, Sept.22: All Medical Sales People Durga Puja Committee is one of the unique Puja Committees of Silchar as well as Barak Valley. Since 2009, from their introducing year, the Puja Committee is attracting the attention of the people by their artistic creativity. Different times, they have presented the idol of Goddess Durga and other Dev- Devis by Medicine Bottles, Pitle, local Pati and many such articles.
People of Silchar always keep some special expectation from all medical sales people. Their another unique feature is that they meet up their expenditure only by the contribution from their members and professional colleagues. Last two years, due to Covid pandemic, the puja was done in minimised manner. This year again, All Medical Sales People Association has come back in their original form. They have reconstituted their Puja Organising Committee and jumped into the field. Day and night, members are doing their best for making the Puja a grand success.
President of the Puja Committee, Mithun Roy and Secretary Anoop Dutta have informed that this year members are very much enthusiastic in organising the puja after the pandemic. This year, the theme of All Medical Sales People Durga Puja Committee is 75 years completion of Indian Independence. They will celebrate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and try to spread the feeling of patriotism. This year their pandal will be in tri-colour and the idol will also be covered by tri-colour.
Feel of Indian patriotism will be reflected in their entire puja arrangement. Likewise, every year people will take maha prasad in Mahastami and Mahanavami afternoon. The puja inauguration will be done in a unique way and will be a real surprise. As like every year, cloth donation programme will also be held for the needy people. The Cultural & Media Secretary, Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta has shared that a colourful cultural programme will be organised in Mahashasthi evening near the puja pandal. The members and their family members will participate in a get together mood.
Moreover, limited invited artist will also perform in the programme. Apart from this, as a part of puja celebration, as well as observing National Blood Donation Day on 1st Oct, which is on the day of Mahashasthi, a voluntary blood donation camp also will be organised in the puja pandal in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre and in association with Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum, Cachar District Committee. The camp will be supported by Lions and Leo Club of Silchar Greater. The organisers will felicitate all the artists and donors.
The puja committee has invited all the people of Silchar as well as Barak Valley to visit their puja during the puja days. They cordially sought the cooperation and support from all. The other members in different roles in the present puja organising committe are Working President Rahul Bhattacharjee, Vice Presidents Angshumali Bhattacharjee, Gopendra Das and Avijit Das Purkayastha, Joint Secretaries Nilam Dutta and Parikhit Choudhury, Treasurers Dipen Deb and Arup Goswami, Organising Secretaries Rajarshi Rishi Deb and Bikram Deb, Puja Organising Secretaries Saumen Bhattacharjee, Ramkrishna Chakraborty, Binayak Bhattacharjee, Sujit Bhattacharjee and Debasish Bhattacharjee.
