Maternity ward inaugurated at Sonai PHC constructed out of CSR fund of NETC

March 29: A maternity ward in Sonai PHC was inaugurated on Tuesday by Deputy Commissioner Cachar, Keethi Jalli. The construction of the maternity ward was carried out under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund provided by the North East Transmission Company Limited (NETC). NETC donated an amount of Rs. 10,00,000 each for construction of maternity ward at Sonai PHC and Jirighat PHC.

DC Jalli during the day inaugurated the maternity ward in presence of Eldad L. Faihriem, CEO(ZP) i/c health, Dr. Ashutosh Barman Jt. DHS, Vikas Nayak, Asst. Manager NETC, Rahul Ghosh, DPM, NHM, Dr. Suran Singh SDM&HO Sonai BPHC, Dr. Gulbahar Raj DME, NHM and Block Proramme Management Unit, NHM Sonai and representative MLA Sonai LAC.

In her speech, the Deputy Commissioner offered her thanks to NETC for for providing financial support in construction of maternity wards. As Sonai PHC is having high case load, this maternity ward will help the hospital to improve the quality of service they are providing to the people of the locality.
