Marwari Yuva Manch of Karimganj gives relief materials to 500 poor families
April 13: The coronavirus pandemic is affecting tens of thousands of people in profound ways, including loss of work and a lack of medical care and food supplies. The outbreak has had a significant impact on the most vulnerable populations, including the elderly and children. While the government announcing a package worth Rs 1.7 lakh crore for daily wagers and the poor will go a long way in ensuring that no one goes to sleep hungry, individuals and organisations took the lead on their own to feed the teeming millions.
On Sunday, Marwari Yuva Manch, Karimganj have provided groceries to 500 family of 2 Villages near Awlabari Tea Estate & Jalalnagar Tea Estate. The items includenclude rice 2kg, dal 0.5 kg, mustard oil 500 ml, potato 1.5 kg, soyabean 1 packet, salt 1 packet and 1 soap.
Speaking to way2barak, the members of Marwari Yuva Manch, Karimganj said that most of the villagers where they gave aid do not have BPL Cards and are in worst condition ever as the tea gardens and construction sites are totally off. In this situation, a small help from their side have helped the people a lot.
Marwari Yuva Manch President Akash Bhura, Vice President Rajesh Bothra, Treasurer Kaushal Agarwal and members of Manch Vikash Bhura, Karan Nahata & Abhishek Tater were present during the distribution of the relief materials.
