‘Mango diplomacy’ fails as USA, China, Sri Lanka & others return mangoes sent by Pakistan

June 12: Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi sent cartoons of ‘Chaunsa mangoes’ to heads of more than 32 countries as gift. However, the ‘mango diplomacy’ initiated by Pakistan failed as almost all the countries refused to accept the gift boxes and rather returned them to Pakistan. As per rports, the countries cited coronavirus quarantine regulations and so expressed inability to keep the gift. The countries which have refused the mango boxes are USA, China, Canada, Nepal, Egypt, Sri Lanka etc.
