Lowest since outbreak of 2nd wave; Only 4 tests Covid+ve in Cachar on Sunday

Active cases 94 in Cachar; 24 discharged on Sunday

Sept 12: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 10.15 PM. Sunday registered the lowest number of positive cases in the district since the outbreak of the second wave of Covid-19. A total of 4 persons were detected as Covid positive during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 94. This was informed by District Media Expert on Sunday night. Also, 24 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 19 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,453 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 03 persons were found positive, whereas 01 more was detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,914 whereas during this phase, 19,622 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 94 active patients:

23 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
06 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
05 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
01 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
09 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
51 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 11 September to 5 PM on 12 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 12 September, there were 26 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support and 1 in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH but none of them were discharged.
