Love knows no border! Girl swims from Bangladesh to India to marry boyfriend she met on Facebook

June 1: It is said that, “Distance can never separate the hearts that really cares.” When in love, one accomplishes even the most hazardous task risking their lives. Well, such instances can be seen in numerous Bollywood movies. However, in real life such an unbelievable incident took place recently when a 22-year old girl from Bangladesh swam across a river for over an hour to cross the Indian – Bangladesh international border to marry her boyfriend, identified as Abhik Mandal, who she had met in Facebook.

Krishna Mandal, from Bangladesh, met Abhik Mandal on Facebook and fell in love with him. Since she did not have a passport, she walked through the wild forests of the Sunderbans and swam for an hour to enter India to marry her lover. Krishna got married to Abhik at Kalighat Temple in Kolkata.

However, the girl, Krishna Mandal got arrested on Monday for illegally crossing the border and entering another country. According to the sources, Krishna may be handed over to the Bangladesh High Commission for further action.
