Lions & YASE organises ‘Free Cataract & Eye Detection Camp’ at Bikrampur T.E.

February 25: Lions Club of Silchar Lioness in collaboration with Youth Against Social Evils (YASE) organised a ‘Free Cataract and Eye Detection Camp’ at Bikrampur Tea Garden Hospital under Borkhola constituency on Monday.

A total of 115 patients were examined by Dr Jhalak Debroy. He was assisted by technician Biswajit Samajpoti and other supporting staff of Lions Eye Hospital, Silchar. After examining the patients, free medicine was also distributed among the patients.

Out of 115 patients, 60 of them were given free spectacles. Further, 12 of them were detected as having cataract.  Arrangement for free cataract operation for 7 patients were made at Lions Eye Hospital, Silchar.

It needs mention here that on 18 November, 2018, Lions Club of Silchar Lioness in collaboration with Youth Against Social Evils collaborated together and organised a Mega Health Camp at 1244 Dolu Tea Garden L.P. School under Borkhola constituency.

The ‘Free Cataract and Eye Detection Camp’ was thus another successful joint venture of Lions Club of Silchar Lioness in collaboration with Youth Against Social Evils (YASE)
