Lions Greater along with Leo Greater donates wheel chair, initiates plasma donation

August 31: Lions Club of Silchar Greater has become a synonymous name with the blood donation movement. They have been associated with this movement even during the pandemic. Lions Greater is involved in organising blood donation camps maintaining social distancing and also awareness programme in virtual mode to motivate people to come forward for blood donation. In the present scenario, the club is initiating Plasma donation from the recovered symptomatic Covid patients.

Under the active guidance of Lions Cabinet Zone Chairperson cum the Club Administrator of Lions Club of Silchar Greater, Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta and the President of Lions Club of Silchar Greater Lion Anoop Dutta, the Club is successfully implementing all the projects.Recently their youth wing, Leo Club of Silchar Greater has been formed and this enthusiastic team is working with dedication under the Presidentship of Leo Debosmita Biswas. Both the club has been organising Covid-19 awareness, providing free masks, sanitizer etc.

Recently, Lions and Leo Clubs of Silchar Greater have donated a wheel chair to Shib Sundari Nari Shikhhasram. Club Member Lion Rituparna Paul Rudra Gupta has sponsored the wheel chair in memory of her mother during the first birthday of her daughter. On behalf of Shib Sundari Nari Shikhhasram, Pulak Das along with other nursing staff received the wheel chair from the members of Lions and Leos of Silchar Greater.

Along with the sponsor, Lion Rituparna Paul Rudra Gupta members present during the wheel chair donation were Zone Chairperson Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, Club President Lion Anoop Dutta,Club Secretary Lion Deboraj Dhar, Club Joint Secretary Lion Uttam Dey, Member Lion Ruparna Paul, Leo Club Vice President Leo Neha Chakraborty, Leo Club Secretary Leo Subhajit Das.
