Lions Governor R.K. Rigania to inaugurate Lions Anandamela in Silchar on 28 Feb

Feb. 25: For the first time in Barak Valley, Lions Clubs International’s District 322G is going to organize a mega service project “Lions Ananadamela 2020-2021” in Silchar on 28 February, 2021 in the front ground of DSA Silchar. Addressing the media, the project coordinator of Lions Anandamela 2020-2021, Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta stated that around 25 to 30 Lions and Leo Clubs of Barak Valley will be participating in this project.

A total of 10 stalls will be set up which will consist of stalls of cloth, utensils, books and stationary, toys, groceries etc. donated by the Lions and Leo Clubs’ members. Each and every item will be sorted properly and price will be fixed accordingly. Lions club will distribute free coupons among the beneficiaries and they will collect the goods from the stalls on the day as per their choice.

Moreover, Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta said that throughout the day of Anandamela, cultural programme will be there on the open stage by the Leo-Lion members. Food arrangement also is being done for all the beneficiaries and members. He stated that the Anandamela will be inaugurated by the Chief Guest cum Lions Governor of Dist 322G, Lion Rajkumar Ringania. Moreover, many more Lions and non-Lion dignitaries will grace the project. On behalf of organizing team, Lion Arindam Bhattacharjee, Lion Suman Patwa, Lion Rupnayan Das, Lion Shakhi Bhattacharjee, Lion Anjana Dev and Leo Dhriti Sundar Paul were present in the press meet.
