Lions Club of Silchar Care organises blood donation camp in association with BVVBDF

Jan. 8: Lions Club of Silchar Care organised a voluntary mini blood donation camp in association with Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum (BVVBDF), Cachar district committee on 6 January at the blood bank of Indian Red Cross Society, Silchar. A total of 7 blood donors including the club members donated blood during the day. Lions Club of Silchar Care organised the camp on the occasion of the birthday of their associate member Biswarupa Purkayastha.

Club President Lion Tapash Saha said that blood donation is the best service and in future also they will continue to serve in this manner. They were inspired by their sponsoring Lions Club of Silchar gGreater and BVVBDF. Zone Chairperson of Lions Clubs International cum the General Secretary of BVVBDF, Cachar District Committee, Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta greeted the donors and club members as well as felicitated them. BVVBDF Central Committee General Secretary Karunamay Paul was also present and spoke on the importance of blood donation. BVVBDF Cachar District Vice President Ranjit Kumar Mishra and BVVBDF Women Cell representative cum Vice President of Leo Club of Silchar Greater Leo Neha Chakraborty also remained present during the occasion.
