Leo Centurion along with the Lions welcomed new year in an innovative way

Jan. 2: The year 2020 was a roller coaster ride dominated by the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. With the arrival of the new year 2021, the members of ‘Leo Club of Silchar Centurion’ and ‘Leo Club of Silchar Centurion Forever’ led by their parent club ‘Lions Club of Silchar Centurion’ organised a special ‘puja’ on Thursday.

The club members performed ‘sandhya aarti‘ at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar on the banks of river Barak to pay their homage to the setting sun of 2020 and offered prayers so that 2021 brings new hopes, peace and prosperity in the lives of all individuals.

The project began with a cleanliness drive in the morning. The members of both Leo Club of Silchar Centurion and Leo Club of Silchar Centurion Forever carried out the cleanliness drive in the areas of Annapurna Ghat. In the evening, they performed ‘sandhya aarti‘ at Annapurna Ghat. Leo Prithiraj Banik expressed special thanks to Lion Sarbani Goswami who came up with such an innovative idea.
