LCSL & YASE organised free cataract detection & eye camp at Motinagar Bazar

December 25: Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youths Against Social Evils (YASE) jointly organised a ‘Free Cataract Detection And Eye Check-up Camp’ at Motinagar Bazar Nachghar on Wednesday. A total of 174 patients were examined by Dr. B.B.Bhattacharjee and the supporting staff of Lions Eye Hospital (LEH), Silchar.

The patients were given free medicine as per the prescription of the physician. Free spectacles were also given to 60 needy patients. 16 patients were detected having cataract and were brought to LEH Silchar for free operation. Free Diabetic detection was also a part of the venture.

On behalf of LCSL President Uma Kar, Ipshita Dutta, Sakhi Bhattacharjee were present. Whereas, on behalf of YASE Central Committee, President Sanjeev Roy, Subash Ruidas (Camp incharge), Divendu Rabidas (Convenor), Bandita Trivedi Roy, Santush Hazam, Abdullah Laskar, Krishna Mohan Mallah, Bukan Deb, Azablal Rabidas, Tapan Bhattacharjee, Sunit Rabidas, Mamta Bakti, Champa Rabidas and Prosonno Das were present.
