Lata Mangeshkar’s health condition deteriorates
Jan. 16: The health condition of India’s singing icon Lata Mangeshkar, who was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after she tested positive for Covid-19, has worsened. As per reports the 92-year-old renowned singer has developed pneumonia in addition to Covid and has been admitted to the ICU, where a team of doctors is taking care of her. None is allowed to meet her as she continues to be under strict medical supervision. Doctors have said that it will take some more time for her to show signs of recovery.
Legendary singer and well-known Bollywood personality Lata Mangeshkar has tested positive for COVID-19 on 11 January after reportedly contracting the virus from one the house helps.
Lata Mangeshkar the recipient of several awards such as Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke, and many more National Film Awards. She is lovingly called the nightingale of India. In 1947, the Guinness Book Of Records ranked her as the most-recorded artist in history. In 2001, Lata Mangesgkar was conferred India’s highest civilian honor, Bharat Ratna.
