Lachit Divas observed in Cachar, DC Mridul Yadav pays tribute to the Ahom legend.
Way2barak, November 24 : The District Commissioner’s Office in Cachar came alive on Sunday ,as the district administration celebrated Lachit Divas, marking the birth anniversary of the legendary Ahom General, Bir Lachit Borphukan. The event paid homage to the valor and leadership of the iconic figure who played a pivotal role in protecting Assam from Mughal invasions.
Presiding over the occasion, Cachar District Commissioner, Mridul Yadav, delivered a stirring address, emphasizing the enduring legacy of Lachit Borphukan. “Bir Lachit Borphukan epitomizes the spirit of patriotism, resilience, and selflessness.
