Kidnapped person of jiribam recovered from jirighat area

way2barak, Oct 22 : Some unknown miscreants kidnapped a person namely, Md Saiyur Uddin, a resident of Pachim Kashimpur Balijuri, Jiribam, Manipur from the general area  Kapakhal on monday at 4 pm. He actually came for some cultivation work under the jurisdiction of Jirighat police station, Assam. The area is bordering Manipur, and has no road connectivity. Being informed, police team  moved there through riverrine route on boats. SP Cachar discussed the matter with SP, Jiribam and paramilitary forces deployed on the Manipur side. Further operational measures has been taken for the recovery of the person.
The search operation was intensified on both the sides of Assam Manipur border by Cachar police and Jiribham police. During the operation the victim person was recovered at Bakkhal, Jirighat PS and immediately brought to the Jirighat Police Station. He was medically examined and family members are informed in this regard. During the special search operation in the entire area the miscreants managed to flee away by taking the advantage of darkness and difficult, uneven hilly terrain. Further jont operation along with Jiribham police has been continued to nab the culprits involved who hail from Jiribham, Manipur. Numal Mahatta, SP Cachar said, in this connection a case has been registered under Jirighat Police Station and investigated into.
