Karimganj youth Lieutenant Siddhartha Sinha to lead Republic Day parade

Jan. 20: It is indeed a matter of immense pride for Barak Valley that a youth from Patharkandi in Karimganj district of Assam will command his regiment during the Republic Day Parade on Rajpath in New Delhi this year. Lieutenant Siddhartha Sinha joined the armed forces of the country in the year 2020. He is currently posted in the 16 Madras Engineering Regiment. His father Laxmikanta Sinha also served the Indian Army for long 30 years.

Siddhartha did his engineering from the Madras Engineering College before joining the Army. His selection to command the regiment during the Republic Day parade in New Delhi has become a moment of rejoice for the people of his locality. He has indeed made not only Karimganj proud but also the state of Assam to which he belongs.

Every year on January 26, the Republic Day parade takes place in New Delhi where the celebration begins with the unfurling of the tricolour by the president, followed by parade of several regiments of Armed Forces.
