কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা লাইনচ্যুত, ক্ষয়ক্ষতি নেই, সাময়িক বন্ধ পাহাড় লাইন
Kanchenjunga Express derails, no casualties, hill section temporarily closed

৬ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ পাহাড় লাইনে নিউ জাটিঙ্গা লামপুর ও নিউ হাফলং স্টেশনের মধ্যবর্তী স্থানে বেলাইন হয়ে পড়ল  আগরতলা-শিয়ালদহ কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা এক্সপ্রেস। তবে যাত্রীদের কারও কোনও ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হয়নি। একটি মোষের সঙ্গে ধাক্কা লেগেই এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। মোষটি কাটা পড়েছে।  ইঞ্জিনের পেছনে থাকা পার্সেল কাম লাগেজ ভ্যানের দুটি চাকা নীচে পড়ে যায়। রেল সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, লামডিং থেকে অ্যাডিশনাল ডিআরএম ঘটনাস্থলের উদ্দেশে রওয়ানা হয়েছেন।বদরপুর থেকে রিকভারি ট্রেন যাচ্ছে। পৌঁছনোর পরে দুর্ঘটনাগ্রস্ত ট্রেনটিকে রওয়ানা করাতে বেশি সময় লাগবে না। তাঁদের অনুমান, কাল সকাল থেকেই পাহাড় লাইনে ট্রেন চলবে যথারীতি।

September 6: Sealdah bound Kanchenjunga Express which originated from Agartala derailed in between New Jatinga- Lampur  & New Haflong. The incident occurred today at around 1.55 in the afternoon. Initial reports revealed that the train derailed after colliding with a buffalo. However, there were no reports of any casualties.

Meanwhile, recovery train has started from Badarpur. The Additional Deputy Regional Manager of NF Railway is also on his way to the spot of the accident. Sources have informed that trains in the hill section will not run until the recovery train clears the track at the site of the accident.
