Justice NV Ramana sworn in as 48th Chief Justice of India

April 24: Justice NV Ramana was administered the oath as the 48th Chief Justice of India by President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. Justice Ramana, will retire on August 26, 2022. He is the second Chief Justice of India from Andhra Pradesh.
