Joint meeting of linguistic minorities held in Silchar

June 14: A joint meeting of delegates of “Akhil Assam Bhojpuri Parishad” (AABP) Cachar District Committee and “Joint Action Committee For Safeguard of Indigenous Manipuri people of Assam” was held in Silchar on Saturday to discuss on the different issues related to socio-economic and linguistic matters and other serious problems faced by both the communities as linguistic minorities.

Dr.Ranjan Singh presided over the meeting and A. Nandababu Singh (Chairman of JAC) initiated the session. . During the marathon discussion, on behalf of JAC, Rajkumar Gopal Sana, K. H. Dhiren Singha, S. Kamala Kanta Singha, L. Bir Kumar Singha, Bikash Singh, Dr K. N. Chand Singha, A.N.B. Singha, S. Subhonkor Singha placed their views for a ‘Combined Platform’ for different ventures in the future.

On behalf of AABP Dr.Ranjan Singh, President AABP Cachar conveyed his full cooperation in this regard. Dilip Singh (Secretary) and Kameshwar Gajlu (Advisor) placed their suggestion before the house. The Meeting was convened by Sanjeev Roy, Vice President of AABP Central Committee.
