‘Jay Sri Ram’ slogan rented air during Adityanath’s rally
With the poll date approaching near, BJP in Barak Valley becoming more 'Sri Ram' dependent
March 23: Just five days ago, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Barak Valley, there was only one slogan– “Modi… Modi…“. On Tuesday, when Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath came to Silchar, time and again the slogan of “Jay Sri Ram” was raised. During the speech of PM Modi, there was no mention of Ram Mandir. However, while addressing the electoral rally on Tuesday by Yogi Adityanath at Silchar, he sought refuge in Sri Ram while attempting to attack the Congress. He said the whole country came forward and supported the cause of constructing the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Yogi was quick to add, “During the elections, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra does not forget to go to the temples.”
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “When the country passes through any critical situation, Rahul Gandhi remembers his grandmother and goes to Italy. The country has made his father, grandmother and great grandfather Prime Ministers. But what has he done for the Indians?” Raising this question, Yogi Adityanath himself replied, “When PM Modi was struggling hard to fight the coronavirus pandemic, Rahul Gandhi was busy obstructing him at every step.”
On Tuesday, while addressing at Bengali dominated area of Silchar, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh mentioned that people of this part of the country are always suspected as Bangladeshis. He also mentioned the names of Netaji Subhas chandra Bose and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. He held the Congress party responsible for the partition of the country and said, “Bangladesh as a nation would not have been born, if the country was not partitioned in 1947.
He said, “Congress has also failed to show respect to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Rather they have insulted Netaji. It was Netaji who fought bravely against the mighty British and tried hard to achieve independence for the country.” Ascribing Shyamaprasad Mukherjee to be a ‘man from Bengal’, Yogi Adityanath said that he was against the special powers given to Jammu and Kashmir. Mukherjee vehemently opposed the concept of two Prime Ministers and two flags within the same country. He claimed that the dream of Shyamaprasad was fulfilled by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. He also mentioned that it is the BJP government who abolished Article 370 of the constitution.
The saffron-clad Chief Minister on Tuesday addressed three poll rallies in Barak Valley on Tuesday. He also mentioned about the language martyrs during his speech in Silchar. He reminded the people that during the police firing in 1961, the Congress was in power in Assam. Though he did not say anything about the alliance of Congress with AIUDF, but he reacted against the alliance of the Congress with the left. He said that the people of West Bengal and Tripura have thrown out the left out of power, but here in Assam, the Congress is trying to capture power with the help of the left.
