বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আন্দোলন অব্যাহত, সকাল ১১টায় ত্রিপাক্ষিক বৈঠক
Agitation continues in Assam University, tripartite meeting at 10 AM on Thursday

৬ মার্চঃ আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে গবেষকদের আন্দোলন অব্যাহত রয়েছে। বুধবার জেলা প্রশাসন আন্দোলন প্রত্যাহার করানোর চেষ্টা করে। আন্দোলনকারীদের সঙ্গে দীর্ঘসময় কথা বলেন কাছাড়ের ডিএসপি এজে বরুয়া। কিন্তু গবেষকরা তাদের দাবি পূরণ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ধরনা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তে অনড় থাকেন। উপাচার্য ছাড়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কারও সঙ্গে কথা বলবেন না বলেও জানিয়ে দেন।

 

এ দিকে, উপাচার্য দিলীপচন্দ্র নাথ এই সময়ে দিল্লি রয়েছেন। শেষে স্থির হয়, বৃহস্পতিবার বেলা ১১টায় ত্রিপাক্ষিক বৈঠক হবে। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ, জেলা প্রশাসন ও গবেষক সংস্থা আলোচনায় মিলিত হবে।

March 6: The agitation started by the Assam University Research Scholars Association is still continuing. On Wednesday, District administration tried to resolve the crisis by means of dialogue. DSP Cachar A.J. Baruah came to the spot and discussed at length with the agitating students. But the association stood still to their decision of continuing their protest till the fulfillment of all their demands.

The association made it clear that they will sit for discussion only with the Vice Chancellor of the varsity. The Vice Chancellor, Dilip Chandra Nath is at present in Delhi. Finally, it was decided that at 11 AM on Thursday, a tripartite meeting will be held, which will be attended by University authority, district administration and Research Scholars Association.
