Internet Services Suspension Extended in Manipur for Five More Days

Imphal, July 6 : In a bid to preserve peace and maintain public order, the Manipur government has announced the extension of the suspension of internet services in the state until 3 pm on July 10. The decision comes as authorities continue their efforts to prevent any disturbance that may arise from the misuse of social media platforms. The initial ban on internet services was implemented on May 3 following clashes between ethnic communities, and it has been extended periodically in the interest of maintaining stability.

The extension of the internet suspension in Manipur is aimed at curbing the spread of potentially inflammatory content through social media channels.
