International commercial passenger flights suspended till 15 July
June 26: In a significant development, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) informed that all scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India shall remain suspended till 15 July 15. The DGCA said the restriction will not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA. “However, International Scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis,” informed DGCA.
Scheduled international passenger flights were suspended in India on March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Air India and other private domestic airlines have been operating unscheduled international repatriation flights under the Vande Bharat Mission, which was started on May 6 by the Central government.
