Inner Wheel Club, Silchar stands beside flood affected people of the town

July 1: Amidst miseries of daily struggle to earn livelihood, the sudden lash of torrential rain and ensuing flood left people from the downtrodden belt miserable once again. with a view to offer a minimum support, Inner Wheel Club (IWC), Silchar reached to the still inundated parts of Chencoorie in Silchar town.

On Friday, the members of Inner Wheel Club, Silchar reached Chencoorie area of Silchar by boat and distributed essential relief commodities among the people there who still were braving the flood water. A total of 110 beneficiaries were provided packaged drinking water, lime, anti-fungal medicine and biscuits.

Present on behalf of IWC, Silchar were its President Sampa Banik, Secretary Madhuparna Basak, District Secretary Anindhita Dey Pal, Treasurer Moumita Gupta, Jhumki Saha, Mohul Mitra and Sangita Banik. It needs mention here that this is the first public activity by the new committee of IWC, Silchar after assuming charge.
