Inner Wheel Club of Silchar distributes sanitiser, mask, soap & face shields

Sept. 12: Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Inner Wheel Club of Silchar distributed hand sanitiser, masks and face shield among the people near Rotary Club of Silchar on Saturday morning. They also provided health drinks to the poor and needy. After that, the members of the Inner Wheel Club went to Silchar Central Jail, where they distributed 300 face masks and soap among the inmates. It needs mention here that more than 130 inmates of the Jail were tested COVID-19 positive.

During the day, the members also distributed hand sanitiser, mask and face shields among 20 traffic police of Silchar town. Expressing her views, Sutapa Bhattacharjee, President of Inner Wheel Club of Silchar said, “COVID-19 has assumed a vigorous form over here. The only only way to remain safe is by maintaining the COVID-19 protocol. Keeping this aspect in mind, we took the initiative of distributing face masks, face shields, hand sanitiser and soap among various sections of the society.

Apart from Sutapa Bhattacharjee, the other members present during the occasion were its Secretary Shilpi Ghosh & Madhumita Paul.
