India’s first e-fish market App ‘Fishwaale’ launched in Assam
Oct. 5: Minister for Fisheries, Environment and Forest and Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya launched an App Fishwaale, India’s first e-fish market here on Tuesday. Launching the App developed by Aqua Blue Global Aquaculture Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Fisheries department at a function held at Sri Sri Madhabdev Bhawan auditorium, Minister Suklabaidya said the App, a one stop solution for Aquaculture, will help the buyers and sellers to place orders and sell fish online. He exuded the optimism that it will help the fish farming community to get reasonable price for their produce and lead to elimination of middlemen.
Suklabaidya said never before fish has been accorded the recognition of an asset by any government other than the Modi Government through the Pradhan Mantri Matysa Sampada Yojana. Through the App one can not only sell as well as buy fish but also quality fish seed and fish feed. Aquaculture equipment and medicine will also be available in the app. Aquarium tanks, ornamental fish and equipment can also be placed for orders online. Table size fish such as bhangon, mrigal and rohu and freshwater and seawater frozen fish (ice box) are also available coupled with dry fish packets, dry fish raw, fish pickles and processed fish products.
Director, Fisheries, NK Debnath, Deputy Director, JP Medhi, Deputy Director, Tapan Das, MD, FISHFED, Dr.Dhruba Jyoti Sharma, President, SC Morcha, Assam, Moon Sarnaker, Secretary, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra, Sudarshan Thakur and Fisheries Development Officer attached to Minister, Pratul Deka were present in the event.
