Indian Railways to run 200 special trains daily from 1 June

May 19: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday announced that Indian Railways will resume the services of 200 special non-airconditioned trains and bookings for them will start soon. The tickets for the special passengers trains can only be booked online on the IRCTC website or on its app. Ticket booking counters at the railway stations shall remain closed and no counter tickets (including platform tickets) shall be issued. The online ticket booking process will commence soon and the schedule will also be put out shortly.

Further, in another tweet on Tuesday Railway Minister Piush Goyal wrote, “With in the next 2 days Indian Railways will double the number of Shramik Special Trains to 400 per day. All migrants are requested to stay where they are, Indian Railways will get them back home over the next few days.”
