Cachar still in GREEN zone, no new zones classified as red in Assam

May 11: Once again, a fake news has become viral in social media all of a sudden on Monday afternoon. A morphed image of a screenshot from NewsLive has become viral in social media wherein it was written that Kamrup Metro, Cachar & Bongaigaon has been classified as Red Zone. However, NewsLive clarified that it is a Fake News. Jorhat, Karimganj, Kokhrajhar and Cachar still continues to be in green zone. Only 4 districts, Dhubri, Bongaigaon, Goalpara and Morigaon are in orange zone, while the rest of the districts in Assam are still green. The screenshot viral in social media about Cachar transforming into Red Zone is FAKE.
