অভব্য আচরণঃ এসআই-র বিরুদ্ধে মহিলা কনস্টেবলের অভিযোগIndecent behavior; Female constable files complaint against S.I.
ষষ্ঠ আসাম পুলিশ ব্যাটালিয়নের এক সাব-ইন্সপেক্টরের বিরুদ্ধে অভব্য আচরণের অভিযোগ আনলেন ব্যাটেলিয়ানেরই এক মহিলা কনস্টেবল। বুধবার তিনি ক্যাম্প থেকে পালিয়ে গিয়ে শিলচর সদর থানায় মামলা দায়ের করেছেন। শুধু তাই নয়, ওই মহিলা কনস্টেবল পুলিশ অফিসারের বিরুদ্ধে মারপিট করারও অভিযোগ এনেছেন।
শিলচর সদর থানায় মামলা দায়ের করে মহিলা বলেছেন, তার স্বামী চাকরি সূত্রে বাইরে রযেছেন। একে সুযোগ বলে ধরে নিয়ে ওই অফিসার প্রায় সময়ই তাঁকে কুপ্রস্তাব দিয়ে আসছেন। তিনি বারবারই আপত্তি জানিয়েছেন। তাছাড়া ওই অফিসার তার সম্পর্কে পরিচিতদের কাছেও কুৎসা রটিয়েছেন বলে জানান তিনি।
মহিলার অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী ওই অফিসার অন্যদের এও বলেছেন, তিনি নাকি তার কাছ থেকে ৫ লক্ষ টাকা নিয়েছেন। মহিলা কনস্টেবলটি আরও জানান, মঙ্গলবার রাতেও ওই অফিসার একইভাবে তাকে কুপ্রস্তাব দেন। এতে তিনি সম্মত না হলে তার চুল টেনে মারধর করেন, এমনকি তাকে গলা টিপে প্রাণে মারার চেষ্টা করেন বলেও তিনি অভিযোগ করেছেন। এ অবস্থায় মঙ্গলবার রাতেই তিনি থানায় মামলা দায়ের করতে চান। কিন্তু অভিযুক্ত অফিসার তাকে আটকে রাখেন। বুধবার সুযোগ বুঝে পালিয়ে এসে সদর থানায় মামলাটি দায়ের করেছেন।
প্রসঙ্গত, বাদী মহিলা গত ২০১৭ সাল থেকে ষষ্ঠ আসাম পুলিশ ব্যাটেলিয়ানে কর্মরত।
তবে বিভাগীয় দুই কর্মীর এই বিবাদ নিয়ে পুলিশের উর্ধ্বতন মহলে লুকোচুরি চলছে। মাঝরাতেও পুলিশ সুপার রাকেশ রৌশন ও অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার রাকেশ রেড্ডি বলেন, তাঁরা এই ধরনের এফআইআর-এর কথা জানেনই না।
A female constable of 6th Assam Police Battalion filed complaint against a Sub Inspector of the same battalion alleging indecent behavior. On Wednesday, she fled away from the battalion and lodged FIR against the Sub Inspector. The lady constable also accused that she had been physically abused by him.
After filing the complaint, the lady constable said that her husband works in a far off place. Taking this advantage, the police office often used to approach her with vulgar proposals. She also accused the Sub Inspector of maligning her image by spreading rumours against her.
The lady has also alleged that the police officer has said to many others that he has given an amount of Rs.5 lakhs as loan to her. She further alleged that the said Sub Inspector gave lewd proposal to her on Tuesday night. When she refused, the officer caught her by her hair and physically abused her. She said that the officer also tried to kill her by pressing her throat. In such a situation, she wanted to file a complaint on Tuesday night itself. But the accused officer did not let her go. On Wednesday, she somehow managed to escape from the battalion and lodged the FIR in the police station. It needs mention here that the lady constable has been posted in 6th Assam Police Battalion since 2017.
