Impressed by their social activities, a lady donates ₹6 lakh to NCYS for buying ambulance
Sept. 10: Netaji Chatra Yuba Sangstha (NCYS) has been in the forefront of philanthropic activities since its very inception twenty years ago. The members of NCYS has been associated with a host of social activities. Not only during this pandemic situation, but prior to that, NCYS made their presence felt by standing besides the deprived section of the society. The Sangstha is marching ahead under the able leadership of its President, Ashok Deb and General Secretary Dilu Das. Recently, the Journalists Association of Assam conferred upon NCYS an award in Guwahati for or their exemplary role during the ongoing Covid pandemic.
Being impressed by the philanthropic activities conducted by Netaji Chatra Yuba Sangstha (NCYS), Mrs. Supta Sen of Tarapur, Silchar donated an amount of ₹ 6 lakh to them in the fond memory of her late husband Sujit Ranjan Sen. The cheque of ₹ 6 lakh was handed over to the General Secretary of NCYS, Dilu Das by Sadhana Purkayastha, the mother of Supta Sen.
Expressing his views, Dilu Das said, “I am overwhelmed to receive the cheque of ₹ 6 lakh from the family of Mrs. Supta Sen of Tarapur for the purpose of purchasing an ambulance. It;s indeed a matter of honour for our Sangstha that people are now being aware of the various social activities with which we are involved. We have passed 20 long years since our inception and has got much more plans for the future. We assure to do more fruitful activities for the people. I sincerely thank the family members of Supta Sen for depositing their trust on us.”
