Huge tree fell suddenly on Thursday noon in Silchar, people in an e-rickshaw narrowly escaped

way2barak, Sept. 1: In a strange incident, a huge tree at PWD Road from within the campus of Tarunram Phukan School, Silchar fell on the main road. The incident took place at around 2 PM on Thursday afternoon. People were surprised at the incident as the huge tree fell down without any storm or rain.

A car was parked then outside the Sishu Tirtha School. Moreover,  an e-rickshaw with passengers was passing through that spot. The driver of that e-rickshaw sustained foot injury,  but the passengers jumped at once from the vehicle and could manage to escape unhurt. However,  the car parked there was somewhat damaged.

As the classes were going on in the two schools at that time, no student was injured. Efforts are on by the concerned department to remove the tree from the street.
