Huge milestone for India: 100-crore doses of Covid vaccine administered so far

Oct. 21: India has achieved a huge milestone in combating Covid-19 pandemic. On Thursday, over 100-crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been successfully administered in the country. “India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat,” PM Modi tweeted.

While 74 percent of the eligible population in India have received at least one dose, only 30 percent are fully vaccinated — leaving the remainder outside the remit of adequate protection from the virus.
