Himanta Biswa Sarma donates ₹1.5 lakh for fight against COVID-19

April 10: With the outbreak of COVID-19, state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has earned huge praises for the service he is rendering in connection with arrangement of health facilities. He is leaving no stones unturned to monitor personally all preparedness related to the treatment and further spread of the deadly coronavirus. The minister has now donated an amount of Rs.1.5 lakh in the fight against coronavirus.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Sarma wrote, “Every drop counts! I have donated Rs 1 Lakh towards #PMCaresFund & Rs 50,000 in Assam Arogya Nidhi from my salary of March 2020. Each one of us, as per our capacities, should join this campaign and contribute towards tackling #COVID pandemic. This is going to be a long battle.”
