Himanta Biswa participates in Review Meeting on containment measures

July 13: A review meeting on containment measures was held in Guwahati on Monday. The meeting was held with the officials of the State Health Department and District Administration along with State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the presence of Minister of State Pijush Hazarika. Apart from reviewing the containment measures, discussion was also held as regards chalking out strategies on the future course of action to deal with the ongoing situation of COVID-19. 

Further, COVID-19 testing figure reached 563,482 on Monday. Sharing this information, State Health Minister in a tweet wrote, “We shall highly appreciate if you can give your swabs for testing. My appreciation for the teams for having put in very hard work to reach out to so many people to test and trace. Let’s work together to ensure COVID free Assam.

During the day, Himanta Biswa Sarma also visited COVID Care centres at Khanapara & Sarusajai to review facilities & take updates about ongoing operations. He tweeted, “Everytime I meet doctors, nurses & health care workers, I admire their tenacity and ability to endure.”
