2 more dies in Assam due to COVID-19, death tally rises to 53

July 18: Two more COVID-19 positive patients died in Assam. They were identified as Binandi Ram Kalita (61) from Kamrup Metro and Sushil Shymal (62) from Jorhat. With this, the death tally of the state has now reached 53. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “I send my prayers & condolences to these two families.”
