While addressing the media at NHM Office in Guwahati on Sunday afternoon, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that though this cannot be given a direction, yet it was an appeal to all those who have given their house on rent in Assam to be a little compassionate and grant atleast 50 percent concession in house rent for the month of April. The waiver, he said, should be specially given to the students who stay as paying guests and private employees. He made it a point that government employees need not be given any waiver as the govt has already paid their salary.
