Heroine amounting to Rs 1 crore seized, 3 arrested in Lakhipur

way2barak October 31: Acting on reliable information, Cachar Police apprehended 3 persons namely,

1)LINBOI HUNGSAI S/O LT KANGLAL HUNGSAI OF JIRIBAM HAITHOL DIST TAMENGLONG, PS- KAIMAI, STATE MANIPUR

2) LALRINGTHANG HMAR S/O LALTUOKLEIN HMAR OF HMARKHAULINE, PS – LAKHIPUR CACHAR

3) BARJONA HMAR S/O BANLALRUOT HMAR OF HMARKHAULINE,PS LAKHIPUR.

They were carrying suspected heroin near Pailapool on NH37 under Lakhipur PS. Upon searching them police recovered and seized 15 plastic soap cases containing suspected heroine weighing 201 gms and ⁠Four number of mobile phones including one iphone.

Additional Police Super, Cachar, Rajat Paul said that the suspected contrabands were tested using Drug Detection Kit (DDK) showed positive results for heroine (Violet color) . According to him, the value of the seized article in black market is worth Rs. 1 Crore.

Necessary lawful action has been initiated under NDPS Act. Further investigation into the matter has been on, said ASP Paul.
