Heroin seized, two arrested in Soidpur

way2barak, Aug 12: Based on a reliable input on 10.8.24 at about 8.30 pm Cachar Police intercepted one car bearing registration number AS06B4739 at Soidpur part II, NHway 7, Silchar and apprehended the driver namely Nazrul Islam Lashkar of Soidpur Part III and one woman namely Sultana Begum Laskar of Soidpur Part III. During thorough search of the car, police team recovered total 15 nos of soap cases consisting of suspected to be heroine weighing about 176 grams kept concealed beneath the left front seat which were duly seized as per procedure. “Further lawful procedures has been initiated”, said Numal Mahatta, SP Cachar.
