Helpline numbers launched by Assam Police for senior citizens

April 16: Lockdown 2.0 will now continue throughout India till 3 May, 2020. Amidst this, the police are doing a commendable task in helping people and ensuring the lockdown. Now the Assam Police has come forward to help the senior citizens. They have launched four new helpline numbers have been launched to cater to needs of senior citizens of Assam.

The helpline numbers are 6026900974, 6026900975, 9435215029 and 9132699735. The elderly persons can call for any assistance in any of these helpline numbers and ask for help. In a Facebook post, Assam Police has also appealed to the people of the state to follow the lockdown guidelines and stay safe at home. The state police said that individual social responsibility is the need of the hour.

In its Facebook Page, Assam Police wrote, “In view of #Lockdown due to #COVID19, 4 Helpline Numbers are available for providing help to the elderly in distress. For any kind assistance required for senior citizens in an emergency situation, please reach out to us on these Helpline Numbers. #StayHomeSaveMankind.”
