Head on collision between truck & auto at Ghungoor, 5 injured
ঘুংঘুরে ট্রাক-অটো মুখোমুখি, জখম ৫

১১ জানুয়ারি: ঘুংঘুর দুর্গাপল্লী এলাকায় ট্রাক-অটোর মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে ৫ জন জখম হয়েছেন৷ তাঁদের মধ্যে ২জনের অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক৷ পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, তাঁরা হলেন অটোচালক জামালউদ্দিন মজুমদার ও অটোর যাত্রী মাশুক আহমেদ৷ জামালের বাড়ি শিলচর বটতলায়৷ মাশুক শালচাপড়া গ্রান্টের বাসিন্দা৷ অন্য ৩ জখম ব্যক্তিও অটোযাত্রী৷ তাঁরা হলেন: সুভাষলাল নুনিয়া, সঞ্জীব নুনিয়া ও কমল নুনিয়া৷ সুভাষলালের বাড়ি ধরমখাল৷ অন্য দুজন ফকিরটিলার বাসিন্দা৷

সংঘর্ষে অটোর সামনের দিক একেবারে চিড়েচিপ্টে অবস্থায়৷ শনিবার বেলা আড়াইটা নাগাদ এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে৷ অটোটি তখন যাত্রী নিয়ে শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ পয়েন্টে যাচ্ছিল৷ ট্রাকটি উল্টোদিক থেকে আসছিল৷

দুর্ঘটনার পরে রক্তাক্ত অবস্থায় ৫ জনকেই মেডিক্যাল কলেজে ভর্তি করা হয়৷ গাড়িদুটি নিজেদের হেফাজতে নিয়ে গিয়েছে পুলিশ৷

January 11: In a head on collision between a truck and auto-rickshaw, 5 persons were injured, out of which the condition of 2 of them were reported to be serious. The accident occured at Ghungoor near Durgapally. As per police sources, those critically injured were identified as Jamal Uddin (auto driver), Mashuk Ahmed (passenger). Jamal is a resident of Bot Tola, Silchar whereas Mashuk stays at Salchapra. The other 3 injured are also the passengers of the auto-rickshaw.

In the collision, the front of the auto-rickshaw was totally damaged. The accident occured at around 2.30 PM on Saturday. The auto was going towards Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). The truck was coming from the opposite direction. All 5 injured were profusely bleeding when they were taken to SMCH.
