Guardian Minister holds review meeting with officials, instructs to ensure safety of the people 24×7

May 19: A review meeting was held today at the DRDA Hall, Silchar, which was chaired by Guardian Minister Ashok Singhal with all the Heads of various Line departments in presence of MP Silchar Dr Rajdeep Roy, DC Keerthi Jalli, MLAs of Silchar- Dipayan Chakraborty, Mihir Kanti Shome of Udharbond and Kaushik Rai of Lakhipur to take stock of the grim flood situation in the district.

During the review meeting, Guardian Minister Ashok Singhal instructed officials to make necessary arrangements to ensure safety of people affected in floods. Earlier, he also held another meeting with supply department officials of the three districts of Barak Valley. The Guardian Minister urged all concerned officials to keep a check on prices of essential commodities in this grim situation and to ensure proper distribution of relief materials.
