Gr III Recruitment Exam: 80,050 candidates to appear in 114 centres in Cachar; Sec 144 promulgated

Aug. 26: On Sunday, the 28 August, 2022, Recruitment Examinations for Grade III staff will be held in 114 centres in Cachar district. The examination will be held in two shifts. In the morning shift, a total of 56,649 candidates will appear in 114 centres; whereas, in the afternoon shift, 23,649 will appear in 30 centres within the district.

It needs mention here that after the untoward incident which occurred at Cachar College during the first phase of the exam on 21 August, there were doubts regarding the conduct of the Grade III Exam on 28 August. However, with due intervention by the district administration, with a new set of exam conducting body, the recruitment exams will be held as per schedule at Cachar College also. A total of 1,250 candidates will appear from this centre.

In order to conduct the exams smoothly, Section 144 have been imposed within 100 metres of the examination centres in Cachar district. Mobile phones. smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, etc. has been totally debarred in the exam centres. Even the invigilators are not allowed to carry their mobiles inside the exam campus.

Meanwhile, 9 buses were arranged by the district administration at 6 AM from Silchar. These buses can be availed by the candidates for going to their respective exam centres within the district.
