Govt school student from rural Cachar makes interactive robot, earn laurels
MLA Dipayan Chakraborty wonder struck at the innovative skill of the young mind from his constituency
May 29: The present government has laid great emphasis on the concept of innovation in a plethora of fields. Often we hear or see the young minds coming up with creative outcomes that earn laurels not only for the person who designs such innovation but also for the place to which he/she belongs. One such instance of innovation by a young student of a government school at Nutan Kanchanpur in Cachar district came to limelight when MLA of Silchar constituency, Dipayan Chakraborty visited that village.
MLA Chakraborty was wonder struck to discover that a little boy residing in a remote village and studying in a government school could also come up with a marvelous innovation. This young boy, identified as Mrinal Sutradhar is a student of Nutan Kanchanpur M. E. School under Silchar Constituency. He designed an interactive robot. On visiting there, the MLA was greeted by by the robot. When asked about the name of the MLA of Silchar, the robot replied in Hindi, “MLA of Silchar is Dipayan Chakraborty.”
Overwhelmed with joy and pride of this genius, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said, “I was overwhelmed after meeting this genius young mind who prepared the Interactive Robot. I was accompanied by Anchalik Panchayat member, Mrinal Das, Sajal Chanda and many more BJP workers. May he be blessed with the best of everything.”
Mrinal Namasudra of Nutan Kanchanpur M. E. School under Silchar Constituency participated in the 32nd State Level Science, Mathematics and Environment exhibition, 2021-22 organised by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam organised in Guwahati. His creation, the ‘Interactive Robot’ earned him the 3rd prize in the sub-theme category “Software & Apps” on 27 May, 2022.
